大葉大學藥用植物與食品保健學系副教授張淑微與畢業校友蔡嘉臻，以澎湖盛產的仙人掌果為研究對象，開發其美粧潛力，「仙人掌發酵物的製備方法及改善皮膚狀態的組合物」取得發明專利。
